Yes, you heard me right. When I was a kid, there was nothing I loved more than eggs with salami and ketchup. I had totally forgotten about this until talking to my mom recently. She happened to be eating scrambled eggs with salami and ketchup when I called and the memories all came flooding back. Man, did I love my salami and eggs.
Why am I telling you this? Well, depends 🙂 For those of you who work with me, have been to my classes, follow me on social media or have read anything I’ve written, you know that my current diet is plant-based and definitely doesn’t involve salami (I’ve been a vegetarian for 16 years) or ketchup (hello sugar!). The reason I’m telling you this is because I want you to know that change is not only possible, but it’s inevitable, and you get to direct that change. My journey from salami and eggs to kale and quinoa was definitely not a straight line, it was a process. Sometimes self-directed, sometimes exploratory, and sometimes prescribed. Changing our diets looks different for everyone. And there is definitely not one right way to eat.  But if I could go from my pasta, pizza and salami and eggs diet (and downing multiple sugar packets as is after meals as a teenager… did I forget to mention that one?) to my gluten-free, 90% vegan and sugar free diet, imagine what you can do! Rather than thinking about the end goal and getting overwhelmed, a great place to start is just thinking about one thing you want to do differently. Not even something you want to give up, but something you want to add. Maybe eating more vegetables with dinner, or adding brown rice or quinoa to your diet. Maybe even just cooking at home once per week. There are thousands of different ways to go about making changes. Where do you want to start? If you’re ready to make some changes and don’t know where to start, or you would like some support along the way, feel free to schedule a free consultation with me here. |
I’m still learning from you, but I’m making my way to the top as well. I absolutely liked reading everything that is written on your site.Keep the information coming. I liked it!
